National Center of Meteorology – Aircraft Hangar Bird Netting Project
AL WAHA Bird Control successfully completed a specialized bird netting installation project for the National Center of Meteorology aircraft hangar facility in the UAE. The project involved the installation of industrial-grade bird netting systems both inside and outside the aircraft hangar structure to control severe pigeon infestation and prevent further bird activity within sensitive aviation areas.
The hangar was experiencing ongoing pigeon nesting and roosting beneath the ceiling structure and along elevated side wall sections. Bird droppings were contaminating aircraft parking zones, flooring surfaces, maintenance areas, and operational spaces inside the hangar. Pigeon droppings are highly acidic and can cause long-term damage to aircraft paint surfaces, structural materials, equipment, and facility infrastructure if left untreated.
Our bird control specialists designed and installed a customized low-visibility bird netting system engineered specifically for large aviation and industrial environments. The netting solution effectively blocks pigeons from accessing roof structures, ceiling cavities, steel beams, and side wall openings where nesting and roosting activity previously occurred.
The completed installation now provides long-term pigeon exclusion, aircraft protection, contamination prevention, and improved facility hygiene while maintaining the operational functionality and professional appearance of the aircraft hangar. The UV-protected bird netting system is designed for harsh UAE weather conditions and delivers a humane, safe, and highly effective bird control solution for aviation facilities and high-security industrial environments.
